• Leading a team of 20 IT staff including a project manager and 2 IT managers (Business & Infrastructure). Planning, designing and implementing a strategic plan for the IT department operation. Provide leadership, development and delivery of IT goals, objectives. Ensure continuous availability of the infrastructure, data center, core application platforms, incident and change resilience in accordance to ITIL best practices.
• Defining IT policies, procedures and job descriptions; communicate the aforementioned to IT business and infrastructure managers, HR and legal. Responsible for the standards and regulation of Information Security, Data Protection, Risk Management and ensure the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained. Approve employees access to company's core critical business applications and maintaining CRM application platform
• Overseeing projects to completion, within the IT department and other areas of the business; defining new projects and allocating project work to PM and IT managers, providing consultation, expertise on complex projects, other IT activities and reviewing weekly progress reports.
• Approve and manage IT budgets, control of IT annual spend (opex and capex), procurement and purchases in line with business plans.
• Attending weekly operational meetings with senior management and stakeholders, debriefing them on IT operations and business continuity plan. Travel between business location for business and operational meetings and ensure IT department conducts its operations.
• Liaise with 3rd party vendors and suppliers, RFP and RFQ for services, system integration, subscription, licensing, software and hardware support, identify new development opportunities, sourcing new business and signing off contract agreements.
• Overseeing the IT Infrastructure and Data Center components across the business – Virtualization (vSphere 5.5), Servers (Cisco UCS infrastructure), Communication (Cisco 3945E-V/K9.), Network (Nexus 7000 F2-series, Catalyst 4500-X, 4500 E, 3750X series, Cisco Aironet 3600 series, Cisco ASR1001 System, Cisco 3355 Mobility Services Engine and Cisco 5508 Series Wireless Controller), Security (Cisco ASA 5545-X, 5585-X and Juniper T640), Storage (NetApp E5600 Storage system) and requirements such as backups, spot checks, setups, Anti-virus (kaspersky), Software (Windows Server 2012, Exchange 2013, SQL 2012, SCCM 2012, DPM, Oracle DB 12c, 1C Enterprise, Galaxis- Crystal.net, CIS-chip inventory system; Opera, Micros Simphony POS, Material Control and mini bar systems). Assessing Software and Hardware inventory via Microsoft assessment and planning toolkit.
• Direct the implementation of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
• Define service level agreement, liaising with business and infrastructure managers, increasing efficiency, optimizing business work flow, lower cost through improving information systems and reviewing daily and weekly activity reports. Manage 24/7 operations and on-call rotation schedules, ensuring staff adhere to SLAs for support. Manage all Severity 1 system issues, performing triage and ensuring a well-organized efficient response processes.
• Develop and maintain well documented processes with efficient and consistent work methodologies that conform to support audit, security and business continuity requirements. Develop metrics for ongoing maintenance on server, hardware, software, networking and storage. Provide strategic capacity planning ensuring adequate evaluation and preparation for growth.
• Overseeing project work such as fiber channel internet connection construction, installation of E1 telephone lines, GSM mast and base station construction, installation of GSM indoor system solution, construction of new communication room and installation of Data center ELV components, Casino and Hotel system integration, Integrate various IT systems, including Casino gaming system (Galaxis – bonusing, cashless, slots, table, connect, jackpots, marketing, cage & credit and analytics; CIS- chip inventory system), Hotel PMS (Opera, Micros Simphony POS, Material Control and mini bar systems) and Finance system. Design and implement call flow system management for the Casino and Hotel Resorts with full integration with Cisco call manager, implementation of document work flow, domain names registration and parking, website & mobile apps development and hosting, implement cloudflare technology. Setup high efficient information platform at a staging phase for training school.
• Meeting with IT staff for updates on current and outstanding issues to ensure operational problems are identified, analyzed and addressed. Reviewing systems utility logs (network, servers and pen test).
• Review monthly KPI reports, meet one on one with IT staff, assessing performance against standards to determine whether the group (i.e. department, team, project) are on target to reaching their goals and take corrective action as necessary. Providing regular guidance, mentoring and coaching. Sign off on educational and professional training courses to help build upon their current experience.
