Vessels ranging from 3k DWT - 47KDWT - Negotiated and managed both short and long term freight contracts - Specialised in trade flows worldwide. - Regional business development responsibilities for the Far East of Russia and Asia. - Responsible for managing key accounts including Cetracore, Daxin Petroleum LTD, Crudex Energy International Ltd., Lukoil, Gazprom Neft JSC.,Shell Chemicals, PETRONAS and a range of petrochemical producers and traders.

* Person in Charge of handling 5 Chemical Carriers independently from the fleet with reference to post fixture, bunker intakes, assisting in tank cleaning, agency appointments etc. ; * Preparing Vessel Position updates for forwarding to Charterers at a daily basis. ; * Assisting in compiling and making Half Yearly and Annual Reports. ; * Preparing Lay time and Off-hire Statements on completion of each voyage. ; * Liaising with Charterers and Owners concerning Vetting inspections required as per requirements of various ports called. ; * Looking after agency appointments, arranging advance payments from charterers and final settlements thereafter on completion of each voyage. ; * Responsible for ensuring that vessels voyages are performed as per charter party and quick turnaround. ; * To follow up the vessel's operations / schedules and the implementation of company procedures in coordination with ship's agents, stowage planners, ship's command and other Line's Departments. ; * Familiarity with voyage instructions, P&L, Hull Insurance, charter parties ; * Coordinating the day to day operational activities of time charter ships ensuring compliance with the agreed charter party terms. ; * Preparing and issuing orders including loading and discharge instructions. ; * Liaising on a day to day basis with marine / technical superintendents, oil operators, ship brokers, ship owners and port agents to ensure efficient commercial operations. ; * Follow up shipping requirements under Contracts of Affreightment including identifying and analyzing commercial opportunities as well as meeting all operational requirements and short notice changes. ; * Providing least cost solutions for a wide variety of Group freight movements through using the existing pool of vessels augmented by recourse to the spot market for additional tonnage. ; * Ability to anticipate and coordinate future requirements and make recommendations for the adjustment to the controlled pool of vessels to fit forward trading patterns. ; * Become an integral member of the chartering and scheduling activity working alongside Charterers, Oil Operators Traders and Marine Assurance Superintendents.

As a Chief Officer i was responsible for loading and unloading of vessels and for work on deck. In addition to the necessary administrative jobs, i was responsible for safety equipment on board. As the Chief Officer, i replaced a Ship Master in his absence, being capable of navigating a vessel and take decisions and manage the crew independently so they know their responsibilities and are able to perform them to the best of their abilities. As a Watch Officer or Deputy Watch Officer i had the competency, among other things, of performing guard duty on your own and act as the safety officer.
